Hi, I'm Morgan Andrew Mendis

I grew up in the suburbs of Washington, D.C., in Maryland, where I developed a deep curiosity about how the world works—socially, economically, and ecologically. I studied economics in college, and over time my interests expanded to explore the relationship between sustainability, ecology, and the ways environmental systems influence human health.

I'm naturally drawn to learning and experimentation, whether it's exploring new technologies, analyzing complex systems, or trying out a new recipe in the kitchen. Cooking and discovering new foods are some of my favorite ways to connect with culture and creativity, and I often find parallels between the balance of flavors and the balance needed in our social and ecological systems.
